Dear Coldspring Community Association Members and Non-Resident Pool Members,
We would like to provide an update regarding the status of the Coldspring Community Pool for the upcoming season.
Following the harsh winter weather, the pool deck sustained significant damage that has created several safety concerns. These issues include cracked and damaged slate hardscaping, uneven walking surfaces that present tripping hazards, and deteriorated concrete areas that require repair. As a result of these conditions, the pool did not pass its recent inspection by the Baltimore City Health Department and cannot be opened until the necessary repairs are completed.
The Association understands the importance of the pool to our residents and members and is actively working to address these issues as quickly as possible. We have contacted multiple contractors to obtain proposals and determine the earliest possible timeline for completing the required repairs. Our primary focus at this time is to complete the work necessary to satisfy the Health Department requirements and safely open the pool for the season.
We recognize that many of you have questions regarding pool memberships, non-resident membership fees, and other related concerns. Once we have a clear construction schedule and the pool has been reopened, we will provide additional information regarding membership matters and address any questions or concerns that may arise.
We appreciate your patience, understanding, and support as we work through this unexpected situation. Our goal is to ensure that the pool is safe, compliant, and available for everyone to enjoy as soon as possible.
Thank you for your cooperation.
Sincerely,
The Coldspring Community Association Board of Directors
